April '08 We will participated and again won 1st Place in the State
FORD/AAA
Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills
Contest working on a 2008 Ford Escape. We had a perfect car (perfect means
no demerits for any reason - factory original) at our state contest at around 27
minutes (there were three perfect cars total). Both
students received a full ride scholarship to OSU Tech in the FORD-ASSET Program.
(Actually over $64,000 worth of scholarships were won).
Winning first this year means that
we have won this contest 6 out of 10 years.
In June we will compete in the
National Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills
Contest in Dearborn Michigan.
February '08 We completed District SkillsUSA-VICA contest. We placed 1st and 4th in Secondary.
June '07 we competed in the National Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills Contest in Dearborn Michigan and placed 7th National with a perfect car (perfect means no demerits for any reason - factory original). It was a very tough contest and there were over 20 cars that did not even finish the contest. Our two juniors showed a lot of guts and technical knowledge.
May '07 We will participated and again won 1st Place in the State FORD/AAA Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills Contest. We had a perfect car (perfect means no demerits for any reason - factory original) at our state contest. Both students (who are just juniors) received a full ride scholarship to OSU Tech in the FORD-ASSET Program. (Actually over $60,000 worth of scholarships were won) Winning first this year means that we have won this contest 5 out of 9 years.
February '07 We completed District SkillsUSA-VICA contest and hosted two regional contests here at our school. In our skills contest we place 3rd in Post-Secondary, 4th and 5th in Secondary.

April '04 State SkillsUSA-VICA we competed in the Auto Skills Contest.
February '04 We completed District SkillsUSA-VICA contest. In our skills contest we place 1st in Post-Secondary, and 3rd Secondary, 5th Post-Secondary. We also took the FORD/AAA Written test the results will be known around spring break or April.
April '03 State SkillsUSA-VICA contest we placed 4th Post-Secondary.
February '03 We completed District SkillsUSA-VICA contest and won 2nd, 3rd, & 4th. One 2nd place was post-secondary (Adult) and 3rd & 4th Place were 1st place secondary (High School) at the district contest. We also place 3rd in Job Interview.
January '03 OATC - We placed 5th place at district contest.

We had the only perfect car (perfect means no demerits for any reason - factory original) at our state contest. Both students received a full ride scholarship to OSU Tech in the FORD-ASSET Program. (Actually over $52,000 worth of scholarships were won) We will compete in the National Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills Contest in Washington D.C. in June '02. Winning first this year means that we have won this contest 4 out of 5 years. in 2000 we placed 2nd.
April '02 State SkillsUSA-VICA contest we placed 4th Post-Secondary in the Auto Skills Contest. We placed 2nd in the Opening & Closing Ceremonies and 1st place in Job Interview Contest.
February '02 We completed District SkillsUSA-VICA contest and hosted two regional contests here at our school. In our skills contest we place 1st in Post-Secondary, and 2nd, 6th and 9th in Secondary. On Feb. 21 we competed in leadership contests. We had a student place 1st in Opening and Closing Ceremonies and 2nd in Job Interview. On the 25th we took the FORD/AAA Written test the results will be known around spring break.
January '02 OATC - We competed at district contest Jan. 30th. We placed 5th in our district.
December '01 OATC - We competed in the written portion of the OATC contest and had a team qualify to go on to the District Contest. We drew a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier.
August '01 - School started back on the 16th. We will start this year with a District SkillsUSA-VICA officer and a School Officer.
June '01 - We went to Washington D.C. and participated in the FORD/AAA Troubleshooting contest. We competed against all the winners from all 50 states and placed 10th in the nation. We missed one bug that would not set a code on the scantool. However, we worked with the Australian International team and they WON THE INTERNATIONAL CONTEST!
May '01 We will participated and again won 1st Place in the State FORD/AAA Troubleshooting contest. Full ride scholarship to OSU Tech in the FORD-ASSET Program. Winning this contest puts us at winning 3 of the last 4 years. We also won the Highest Team Written score. We entered a drawing and won a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer to be used for training in our program.
April '01 State SkillsUSA-VICA contest we placed 2nd Post-Secondary and 2nd Post-Secondary. Both students won $500.00 scholarships.
March '01 On March 10th we competed in the Oklahoma Automotive Technology State Contest (OATC). We placed 3rd in the state. To get here the student team had to qualify via a written test, then place at district competition on a deliberately bugged car.
February '01 We completed District SkillsUSA-VICA contest and won 1st, 1st, & 6th. One 1st place was post-secondary (Adult) and 6th Place also 1st place secondary (High School) at the district contest. We also place 2nd in Job Interview and had a district officer elected.

January '01 OATC - We placed 3rd place at district contest.
May '00 We participated in the State FORD/AAA Troubleshooting contest. We won 2nd place. This was a tough year for us. I was diagnosed with cancer and spent a large amount of the year going through Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments. My hats off to our team for doing so well under the conditions.
April '00 State VICA contest we placed 5th Post-Secondary and 7th Secondary.
March '00 On March 9th we competed in the Oklahoma Automotive Technology Contest (OATC). To get here the student team had to qualify via a written test, then place at district competition on a deliberately bugged car. We placed 6th in the contest.
February '00 We completed District SkillsUSA-VICA contest and won 1st, 1st, 4th & 8th. One 1st place was post-secondary (Adult) and 4th place also 1st place secondary (High School) at the district contest.
January '00 OATC - We placed 2nd place at district contest with a perfect car!
October '99 - We have full enrollment and are doing well. We are finished with our "Basic" Auto class and everyone enrolled first year and second year have enough training to become light duty technicians. We will now plunge into electrical and engine performance.
October '99 - Since we won the State FORD/AAA contest and in the overall competition had the 2nd highest state overall written scores we won a vehicle from Ford Motor Company. The vehicle is a 1999 Ford F150 4X4 Supercab Pickup Truck. For our written score efforts we received a powertrain package consisting of an engine and transmission.
June '99 - We recently went to Washington D.C. and participated in the FORD/AAA Troubleshooting contest. We competed against all the winners from all 50 states and placed 23rd in the nation in the overall standing and 8th in written scores. We missed one bug that would not set a code on the scantool. However, we helped prepare the Australian International team and with our help they WON THE INTERNATIONAL CONTEST!

February '99 - Just went through District VICA contest and won 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th in district contest.
January '99 - OATC contest we placed 4th in the district contest.
October '98 - Since we won the State FORD/AAA contest in the overall competition and highest team written scores plus the highest state overall scores we won two cars from Ford Motor Company. The cars were delivered and we received a 1998 Ford Escort and a 1998 Ford Contour.
June '98 - We recently went to Washington D.C. and participated in the FORD/AAA Troubleshooting contest. We competed against all the winners from all 50 states and placed 14th in the nation in the overall standing and 6th in written scores.
May '98 We participated in the State FORD/AAA Troubleshooting contest. We won 1st place.
April '98 State VICA contest we placed 3rd.
March '98 OATC - State contest we placed 9th.
February '98 - VICA district contest we won 2nd, 4th & 6th.
January '98 OATC - We placed 2nd place at district contest with a perfect car!
